Background

SIREH Park is honoured to be the pioneer in organizing PLOGGING DAY together in celebrating EARTH HOUR DAY 2019.

SIREH Park is run and managed by Non-Profit Organization known as The Nusajaya Natural Heritage Trust. SIREH Park is a public park for Johor community from all ages to enjoy the natural environment setting which located in the center of Iskandar Puteri.

PLOGGING is the combination of "Jogging" and "picking up litter" which known in Swedish as "plocka-upp". These activities started in Sweden in 2016 and spread to others following increased of environmental concern.

PLOGGING activity is a good exercise as there are many movement provides in variations of body stretching in such that they need to bend to pick up the litters while doing their main activities which is jogging.

SIREH Park is happy to introduce plogging activities to public as an awareness starting point into environmental sensitivity and shows our support to save our mother earth. Besides, the most common environmental concern nowadays is focusing at the river, ocean, seashore, swamp area and lack in any public parks which is the most visited place for public to enjoy their recreation and exercise time.

SIREH Park has specifically selected the common leisure time of public doing their jogging activities in the evening session which is around 5.30pm - 7.30pm and by 8.00pm, all the participants will gather to celebrate the lights out moment of EARTH HOUR. The event will target to be ended by 10.00pm.
